CDBL Community,
Looking to give back in the community. Please take a minute to follow the link below to see all the board committees and what each entail. Some are very simple and take a few days of work, and some are very simple but span the entire season. Most are a couple people to a committee so even if you are new you will typically be paired with someone who is not.
CDBL will be voting in new Board Members on Tuesday, September 14th at 7:30 pm. Since we are unable to use school facilities at this time, the meeting will be held at the Wyse Residence (Back Garage) located at 41W460 Greenfield Rd, Elgin IL and we need your help. We will also have a zoom link ready for people who can not attend in person. If you have a passion for youth baseball and have some good ideas that you think can benefit the league, please come out on September 14th and join the Board.
CDBL is recognized as one of the best leagues in the area. One of the many reasons we are so successful is because we have parents who go the extra mile to make the experience for our kids the best it can be. Without all of you, we would not be what we are today. The landscape of youth baseball is changing and as we go into 2022, it will continue to change even more. We need people who are invested in this league and their children's baseball development to step forward and help continue make this league a top-notch program.
We are an In-House and Travel based baseball program. We are again going to offer a IHTT (In-House Tournament Team) which will be considered a Part-Time Travel program as well as our Full Travel program. But make no mistake, all these kids started out as In-House players and that is what this league's foundation is built on.
Thank you for your time,
Tom Wyse – CDBL president tomwysecdbl@gmail.com - 630-906-9768

Being A Part Of CDBL.....
by posted 08/31/2020

We often get asked "What's it like being a part of CDBL Baseball?"

Being a part of CDBL allows our athletes to grow both mentally and physically through training. It's about developing the skills we have to create consistently good habits in baseball.

Two of our own, Evan Larson and Xavier Mikowski, shown here working on their game with professional baseball instructor Sam Klein at KineticZ Training Gym. Their focus is to be committed to excellence and progressing in a positive way on and off the field through CDBL.

This is what "Being A Part" is all about......

"The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game; it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds us of all that once was good, and that could be again. Oh…people will come, Ray. People will most definitely come."

Thank you for your support,

Central District Baseball League - Plato Center Baseball Fields_CDBL Receives 2019 Best of Elgin Award

ELGIN October 14, 2019 -- Central District Baseball League - Plato Center Baseball Fields_CDBL has been selected for the 2019 Best of Elgin Award in the Sports Complex category by the Elgin Award Program.

Each year, the Elgin Award Program identifies companies that we believe have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category. These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and our community. These exceptional companies help make the Elgin area a great place to live, work and play.

Various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners in each category. The 2019 Elgin Award Program focuses on quality, not quantity. Winners are determined based on the information gathered both internally by the Elgin Award Program and data provided by third parties.

About Elgin Award Program

Recognition is given to those companies that have shown the ability to use their best practices and implemented programs to generate competitive advantages and long-term value.

The Elgin Award Program was established to recognize the best of local businesses in our community. Our organization works exclusively with local business owners, trade groups, professional associations and other business advertising and marketing groups. Our mission is to recognize the small business community's contributions to the U.S. economy.
